Why did you choose your field of study?

I chose to study a Bachelor of Education (Primary K–6) because I am passionate about nurturing and supporting children during their critical developmental years. I believe that primary education forms the foundation for lifelong learning, shaping not only academic skills but also children’s social and emotional development. Through this degree, I hope to make a positive and lasting impact on students’ lives by fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Why did you register with CUC Western Riverina?

I registered with the CUC because it provides essential support for university students in my area. CUC offers a range of resources, including study spaces, access to technology, and academic support services, which have been very useful in my journey. Being part of this Centre has allowed me to connect with fellow students, engage in collaborative learning, and enhance my overall educational experience while pursuing my degree.

How do you plan to apply your knowledge and skills after graduation?

After graduation, I plan to work in a primary school where I can teach and support children throughout their educational journey. I aim to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love of learning while supporting the development of essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Drawing on the knowledge and strategies gained throughout my studies, I intend to implement effective, evidence-based teaching practices and actively advocate for the value of primary education within my school community and the broader community.
