Giorgia’s higher education journey began in 2023 when she enrolled in a Bachelor of Education at the University of New England and became a student at CUC Western Riverina. She also started working as a School Learning Support Officer at Binya Public School, where she supports students in their learning and sees firsthand the difference a caring, committed educator can make.

Her decision to become a teacher stems from a lifelong love of working with children and a deep desire to help them reach their full potential both academically and emotionally. Giorgia says she would not be pursuing higher education without the support of CUC Western Riverina. The Centre’s quiet study spaces, double-screen laptops, academic resources, coffee, biscuits, and the encouragement of the CUC team have become an essential part of her study routine.

One of her proudest moments so far was when a lecturer asked to use her assignment as an example for other students – a recognition that gave her even more confidence in her abilities. Giorgia plans to remain in the Griffith region once she graduates and is eager to continue her professional development through further study.

Her advice to others thinking about higher education is simple: Have a dream career? Go for it and make the most of everything CUC Western Riverina offers.
