The First Year Advisor Program

The First Year Advisor program, pioneered by the CUC Western Riverina in 2024, was created to assist first year students with their transition into higher education/university.

With access to three 45 minute sessions, the program aims to:

  • Help you navigate through university life and settling into studies
  • Provide you with 1-on-1 support by appointment
  • Check in with you through calls or emails throughout your first year
  • Provide tailored support and advice
  • Help create your First-Year plan and goals
  • Assist with finding and applying for scholarships
  • Provide useful resources and advice to help you succeed.

Meet your First Year Advisor

Maddi Ramponi

Maddi, a high-achieving student at CUC Western Riverina, studies Law and Criminology with the University of New England. As a former School Captain and current UOW Student Mentor, she is dedicated to supporting equitable education for regional students.
